3.1 PHILLIP LIM FOR TARGET

People have gone crazy for 3.1 Philip Lim for Target. At first when I stayed up for the online launch, I was able to get my hands on everything I wanted. I don't remember why, but I didn't end up buying anything. Probably simply because I didn't need any. I passed by target a week later and checked what things they had left. With no surprise, none of the bags were left, many of the work clothing pieces have sold out. After checking through everything, I found this tiger shirt in a size medium. I thought it would be perfect as an oversized shirt to wear with a statement necklace paired with a skirt. So, that is what I'm wearing today.
Necklace: Zara
Shirt: 3.1 Philip Lim for Target
Skirt: Zara
Shoes: Zara

The shirt is a simple cotton material.
It is a great shirt to dress down and wear inside with pjs, but you can really dress up this piece because of the tiger print.

9.22.2013

Today I felt like dressing up in a dress, saying farewell to summer, and hello to fall!
I wore this plain H&M dress that was in the work attire part of the store and I thought it had a lot of potential to dress up. I paired it with a belt underneath to bring it in and give more shape, and I added a statement necklace because I thought it looked a bit plain if I didn't add something to the neck part.

I don't usually wear such a girly outfit these days, so I paired it with a leather motor jacket from Armani Exchange. Giving it also a edgy vibe to it.

My necklace is from Zara, my sunglasses are from Raybans, and my bag is from Louis Vuitton.
Shoes are Jeffrey Campbells.
I made a two friends at school that share a love for outfits and photography so hopefully, I'm able to shoot with them between classes in the city. Embarrassing since we go to school near all the offices but I guess it captures the city life. haha

6.21.2013

I'm back at it with my fashion outfit posts! Since I now go to a fashion college, I've had more motivation to dress up and blog. I've been loving my hair up in a high pony tail, giving me an effortless way of being more put together since my bangs are so difficult to style at this point. I'm wearing an h&m jacket that I believe they collaborated with someone. An h&m shirt and PacSun jeans.

Been loving my new booties from Circus by Sam Edelman! Super comfortable to wear. I'm also wearing minimal accessories such as my MK watch, Ray Bans, and an Louis Vuitton speedy bag.

I will be doing a lot more fashion posts in my free time since I have more people to take my photos since I do go to a fashion school haha. Be sure to follow this blog to keep updated!

Bachelorette Weekend

So, this past weekend I went deeeeep into Long Island of NY for a bachelorette party. I have to admit, at first I much rather have gone with the guys to their bachelor weekend in Vegas, but then after this weekend I realized how nice it has been. We took off friday night, and the ride happened to be around 2 hours. We stayed at the Hyatt hotel and I was super excited for the wifi they provided because I had to do A LOT of homework and it had to be done before sunday because my homework is all online. Once we got there we went next door to eat at a restaurant called Jerry's and Mermaids.

Chips the girls brought and champagne
The environment was extremely cool and country, something I have never experienced before. I'm usually not a big seafoods fan, I have the basic stuff like potatoes (french fries) and chicken. But the seafood around the place I stayed at was sooo good. Everything was freshly caught because we were by the ocean, literally every restaurant I went to, I ordered seafood. We ordered oysters, steamers (clams), and a bunch of other foods. At the restaurant, they had an open karaoke. If this restaurant was near where I lived, no one would get up. But, at this restaurant, since we were in the country side, people would go up and sing, and everyone would watch. Everyone was so nice to one other and the country environment was just something way different to what I experience at home. After we got back to the hotel we played a bunch of bachelorette games, had a fun time, then while they played, I had 200 math problems to complete, and called it a night.

The next morning we got up and started getting ready. This was an interesting part for me was seeing 5 girls do their makeup. I loved seeing what products worked for them and what they recommended, now I have lots of new products on my list to try. We ate breakfast at Hotel Indigo, I got a Nova Benedict. It's pretty much Eggs Benedict except with spanish and salmon. It was delicious expect my egg yolk was more on the raw side, either way I ate it.

We headed to Tangers outlet because it was right next store. I found a pair of Alexander Wang shoes originally $625, and I was going to be able to get it for $225!! BUT FOR SOME REASON, I DIDNT END UP GETTING IT. Pretty upset about it now, but I don't plan to take a 2 hour ride back to go get them now.

After shopping, we headed to a wine vineyard, since we were on the country side, there's pretty much a vineyard every 2 miles or a farm. These vineyards go for probably a mile each or more, it's crazy and I can only imagine how people maintain them. This vineyard had such an amazing vibe to it. Families and friends would bring their animals and let them run around, and there would be music playing. The weather was absolutely amazing, not too hot and not too cold and sunny. There was white wine and red wine that came with a cheese platter.

After we left the vine yard we went to a small restaurant that at first looked a bit sketchy, it was completely not on the map and it was quite tiny. IT WAS SUCH AN AMAZING RESTAURANT. The restaurant was essentially just a house made into a restaurant which was nice because it gave it a home feel. The waiting area was the backyard where there was a fireplace and heated lamps. The back of the was a lake so it was amazing to sit, watch the stars and water. The food was absolutely amazing, there was not one dish that didn't taste good. We had clam casino, pasta, and a bunch of seafood. Afterword, we headed back to the hotel and since I loved the seafood so much at Jerry's and Mermaids, I made everyone go back and eat more raw seafood cause I LOVE THE SEAFOOD THERE. I happily ate my second part of the meal and then we went back to the hotel. While they did a bunch of stuff and talked, I had to focus on finishing the remaining pieces of homework. I finished everything around 3 am, where I then knocked out and they were still partying.

Next and last day, we headed to a little place 1 hour from where we stayed, going even more into the country side. We past by this amazing little beach and it was beautiful. Kind of chilly, but we stopped by to take some pictures and some group pictures.

We arrived at Greenport and the little town was so cute! Once we arrived, we rode the antique carousel that was well known in the town. It had a great view of the sea and did I mention we were all huge and we were riding the carousel with little 5 year olds? We shopped around the little boutiques that had mostly handmade stuff, the bride to be even brought us all a little tricket to remember the trip by, a handmade necklace that had a beautiful crystal on it.  After shopping for around 2 hours, I bumped into a friend. Crazy to see that I still was able to bump into a friend 3 hours from home. But, he had a vacation house there and it was nice seeing him.

We then decided to have one last meal by the sea. We had Claudio's Clam bar, the wait was 20 minutes so it was so worth it. I ordered the clam linguine with white wine sauce and it was so die for. We also had oysters again because I love oysters haha.

After eating we headed back home. It was such a nice experience to take a look at a lifestyle that other people have. Everyone was so easy going and had such a different life style where as I live in a fast pace city life where I run everywhere and walk really fast without realizing it.

The neighborhood was incredible and I definitely plan to bring my friends or my loved ones back really soon for a get away.

I hope you guys enjoyed this post, don't forget to watch my latest vlog that's up on my other channel, I will link it below for you guys.

Huge Los Angeles Beauty Con Haul! + BeautyCon LA experience of Day 1!

My latest video is now out! Tons of you guys wanted to see what goodies I got from BeautyCon this year. I'd like to take this time and tell you about my experience as well!

I flew out to Los Angeles by myself, I was so excited that the day before I decided I wasn't going to sleep. This way, I'd sleep my way through the flight and by the time I woke up, I would have arrived. My boarding time was around 5 am, therefore I woke my parents up around 3 to drive me to JFK airport (since I'm a New Yorker). I have to admit, since it was my first time flying on an airplane by myself, I was quite scared but also excited to be independent for once. I checked in, and I was literally the only one at the gate. Guess I was so excited that I went too early haha.

Waiting for boarding started making me sleepy, which was perfect because once the plane took off, I instantly went to sleep. Guess what, I woke up as we were landing. Haha, how lucky am I? I completely slept through the whole flight with no time in between.

I met up with my lovely friends, Morgan, Michella, and Jeanine who I met through YouTube. At first to a regular human being, you might think it's a bit weird people meeting through YouTube but for YouTubers, this is quite normal. (plus I met Morgan and Michella at first in New York for an event.)

I also have a NEW vlogging channel. Since I vlogged my whole Los Angeles trip, I will be posting the vlogs up so you can experience it as well :)

Here's the link to my first vlog!

As you see, we wasted no time! LAX is fairly close to a IN-and-OUT, a burger place that's famous in LA, inexpensive, and delicious! after burgers, we headed to The Grove.

Quick little story (as if this post couldn't get longer right?)
I always tell Nat, "we are going to move to LA together, let's transfer schools and both go to college in Cali) I jokingly went on google maps, searched The Grove (cause I don't know many places in LA haha only the hotspots) and looked for a place that was quite appealing.
I sent her the link of it and told her, "this is the place we are going to live in, it's settled. We are going to get groceries at Whole Foods, shop at The Grove, buy furniture at Ikea, and live happily ever after." We joked about it for a while (and still do, mark my words. I will make my way to LA and bring Nat if it's the last thing I do.)

Once I arrived, we walked around. The Grove is so pretty, it felted like a dream. I couldn't believe I was in LA! We stopped by Forever21, I've gotta say, It was quite disappointing. NYC has a lot of chain stores where as Cali is more famous for their boutiques. So this F21, was 1/4 the size of the ones I usually go to in NY. F21 is where I met my first LA follower! If you are reading this, then Hi! :) haha. A lovely girl came up to me and asked for a picture, let's keep in mind I was wearing a comfortable airplane outfit and makeup that was 10+ hours old. Gross, yeah I know. The girls wanted to go to Brandy Melville since they have never went there. So, we drove down to Third Street Promenade.

Everywhere we passed pretty much looks like a poster board. Such beautiful weather. Hot, but not humid and during the night, it actually gets pretty chilly. THE PERFECT WEATHER FOR ME.
Third St. Promenade was beautiful. beauuuuutiful. The Brandy Melville there was MASSIVE. In Manhattan, we have a Brandy Melville, but it is NOTHING compared to this one. Our small little boutique was probably 1/3 of the size of this store. It ranged such a big variety from the earlier pieces to the latest pieces to the collection. I ended up picking up a crop top, a skirt, and a sailor ring for Natalie.

By this time, the clock was ticking, we had to leave ASAP to check in the hotel and head to the Youtube Space. We check in the hotel, we stayed at the Doubletree Hilton Hotel which had an AMAZING view of the pool. Sadly, we didn't have enough time to go to the pool because of how packed our schedule was. :(

We change and get ready to head to industry night at the Youtube Space. Now, if you told me last year that posting a couple of mirror pictures on Instagram of my outfit of the days was going to get me invited to the YOUTUBE SPACE IN LA. I would have laughed in your face and told you to up the doses of your meds. It was so surreal to be at place where I only saw in Youtube videos by some of the top creators. Right as I got close to the entrance, I met Jen, Frmheadtotoe. She was so sweet and genuine. Then I was bombarded with many youtubers, I was so happy to meet some of them. Such as CarliBel55, Clothesencounters (Jenn Im), Charismastar (Charis), Elle and Blair Fowler (Allthatglitters21 & Juicystar07) (and when Elle said she knew my channel, I flipped of joy), thatsHeart (Heart, we talked before so she already knew me), GregoryGORGEOUS (Greg), Wendyslookbook (Wendy), ohhaiclarie (Clarie), annaandjesse (Anna and Jesse), IlikeWeylie (Weylie) and many others!

I've gotta say, when someone you look up to, says they have seen your channel and videos.. It is such a humbling experience. I met so many amazing people and we became such good friends. I was also able to see one of the Instagram friends I had for the longest time, Naomi who was really sweet and kind in person as she is in social media.

After mingling and watching a few panels, We decided it was time to go since we were absolutely exhausted. We picked up Jack in the Box, ate back at the hotel, washed up, and slept.

So, that pretty much rounds up day 1 of my Los Angeles trip. Hahaha, pretty intense for one day.
Stay tuned for the rest of the days and check out Natalie's College experience and Dorming tips thats coming out really soon.

♡ Natalie's First Post: Beginning of LoveChrisalies ♡

Hi!!
I don't think Christina's description of me was exactly fair, but my name's Natalie and I'm the other half of LoveChrisalies. I'm 5'0 and a quarter inch now (haha!) and I love creative writing, photography, and making videos on YouTube! As Christina mentioned, we each maintain our own YouTube channels:
Christina's: http://www.youtube.com/chrisaliescorners
Mine: http://www.youtube.com/beautybynatattack

We started this blog as a way to compliment our YouTube channels, and experiment with a new form of social media :) I'm not sure exactly what I will post on here yet, but stay tuned to find out ♥
Hello! You probably know me as ChrisaliesCorners on YouTube and Instagram, if not..well you do now haha. My name is Christina, nice to meet you! I've always wanted to start blogging, but I'm not exactly the best writer. So, I made my bestestest friend in the whole entire world make one with me (She's a bit rude but you'll get used to it) (KIDDING). She's definitely the better writer between us two (but I'm funnier, so I win.)

But lets start from the beginning, I met Natalie right before I started freshmen year of highschool. My mom decided to bring me on a little shopping date with her best friend who also brought this little short 4'9 weird girl who I now call, my best friend Nat. Didn't think much of it at first, and I really didn't have an opinion of her either. Then we went shopping together and we instantly clicked. I don't remember how we started talking but it was like I knew her for ages already. Even afterward, we talked so much, the same week, we had a sleepover. I think we hung out everyday of two weeks and we had so much fun. We would play a game called Boxhead, normal girls wouldn't enjoy this game as much as us. We enjoy a lot of games, boyish games a lot of girls avoid haha. We would get high scores working together, and it would require us to put a name up on the board. We combined our names Natalie and Christina, and it became Chrisalie. A name I now use in all my social media sites. A lot of companies and people called me Chrisalie, I would get packages sent to me with the name Chrisalie which I found entertaining. But no, it's just both of our names together and I wasn't creative enough to think of my own. Plus, it has a nice ring to it, doesn't it?

So that's how that began.

On this new blog, you will find me writing about fashion, beauty, and little bits of my life! I started off on Instagram as many of you know. It's a fashion Instagram that I would post daily what I was wearing, so of course, I will be posting some outfit of the days here in full detail. On YouTube, I focus on both beauty and fashion (but more beauty). Here I will be posting all my YouTube videos as I make them so you can always check back on this page for my latest videos! (sometimes, I post little hints of what I'm filming, how intriguing right ;)?) I'll also do reviews on makeup products, makeup looks, first impressions, and hauls! Lastly, I like informing you guys about my day! (sometimes, cause I'm really not that interesting)

So, follow us on our journey from here by checking back daily & following our other social media outlets!

Don't forget to follow this blog! x
